That handy little cupholder/storage trunk thing in the back of the cockpit.

It's the little things.
The top of the cupholder is lexan.

Seriously, you wouldn't believe how handy this thing is.
Cupholder supports are teak.

It rotates forward to open.
That thing beside the latch is a piece of
teak that supports the back when closed.

This was the only bad thing about it. Open it up for cleaning or something and it's in the way.
It takes up an awful lot of the cockpit
when it's folded down like this.

Here we are with the new take-apart hinges.
So I replaced the original hinges with
Suncor take-apart hinges.
You can see my locker weatherstrip on the right.
Now I can tip the unit forward, slide it to
starboard and remove it entirely any time I like.

The cockpit lockers used to take in water any time it rained. I found some M-D #01033 adhesive
backed weatherstrip at Lowe's and put it all around the rims of the lockers. Now they stay dry.
