I had the Shoreland'r trailer for my Gloucester 20 sandblasted and painted at Beam Blasting in the summer of 2008. When I picked it up, I had trouble getting the coupler on the ball but didn't look too closely at it because it was raining. The next day, I got a good look at it and found that the coupler and the end of the tongue were badly bent. They'd had my trailer for about a month before they finally got around to sandblasting and painting it. By then I was just glad to finally have it back and didn't bother contacting them to complain about the damage.

After rough treatment at the sandblasting shop.

Somebody had bent it similarly before I bought it in 2006, and I'd cut off the bent section of the tongue tube at that time. I didn't think I could afford to lose another foot or so of length to fix it again, so I bought a folding tongue kit. Here it is installed:

New swing-away tongue. In the folded position.

While I was at it, I replaced the wheel bearings, the keel support board, and all the rollers. I also rewired it, and installed all new LED lights all around.
